I guess I’m just hopelessly fascinated by the realities that you can assemble out of connected fragments.

Block Leaders

Connecting the community.

As a Blocker Leader your responsibilities will be:

1. To connect with other block leaders to create a larger community that communicates.

2. To be the liaison between 1683 Society and the people on your block. This includes promoting our organization and what we are doing, communicating our events and Waterfront issues to those on your block via flyers and/or phone calls and communicating back to us any issues your block might be having.

Ways that 1683 Society will help you:

1. We will support you in creating community on your block. We have created a private online network on Nextdoor where you can share information with us, other block leaders and your neighborhood. There can you get updates to share with your neighbors easily whether they’re members or not.

3. We will host a meeting of block leaders with invited speakers who address issues that are important to you one to two times a year, depending on your interest. As a block leader, you will be part of a network of neighbors who not only share information, but support a connected community.
